I am considering sending a P2000 to Grayguns for their Reduced Reset Carry Perfection Package. Does anybody have any experience with this? I am a trigger snob. I love my Sigs that have been worked on by The SigArmorer and my LTT Berettas. Given that the HK trigger starts out as it does, do you think I'll be happy with the final product? I have a CZ that came straight from CGW, that is nicer than other CZs I've shot, but it doesn't compare with my Sigs and Berettas. Will this be the same? Nice but..... Thanks.

Define trigger snob. I am the over lord of trigger snobs. The rest of you guys are amateurs at being a snob like me. But, I have particular tastes. The DA is really smooth. The SA gives me a little to prep into to before it breaks. None of the packages I have owned/shot are “glass rod” type breaks. But, the GGI P30 is pretty awesome if you like that type of trigger.

Glass rods type P30s tend to be done by people that monkey with safety values. I would avoid it at all costs.

I have had three HKs done by GGI with that package, albeit they were all Light LEM setups (I still own two of them - one of which is a P2000SK).

It is really a great trigger setup in light LEM - the trigger is like a 2 stage trigger but with a long, nearly effortless uptake and then a crisp SA portion. Reset is short to the SA wall/break, about 50% of what it was stock from my rough measurements from before / after.

Not sure how that will translate to a true DA/SA, but I imagine it will be lightyears better than the HK stock setup.

I have an HK 45c with the reduced reset carry package. The trigger is much improved over the stock trigger. It is noticeably lighter and smoother. I have an LTT 92 and in my opinion the LTT is a much better trigger, but I think the 92 platform is more easily able to be tuned than the HK. Gray Guns gets the best trigger possible out of the HK IMO.

Thanks for the feedback. The P2000 is such a good platform, but a similar gun in many ways is the PX4. With the new LTT trigger bar, the reset rivals the Sig SRT. I’m sure I would be impressed by what Grayguns could do with the HK, but the platform itself would keep it from competing with other guns. Can’t have too many fine guns though!

I had two HKs done by Grayguns, a P2000 and A P2000SK. Both are very good when compared to factor HK triggers, but the P2000 is light years better than the P2000SK. The double action is smooth and easy to prep right to the wall. The single action nice and crisp (as crisp as an HK can be). I would would not hesitate to have the work done again.

I just received my HK40C LEM and HK P7 PSP back from GrayGuns, after 7 months. I'm delighted with the results. The HK Reduced Reset Carry Perfection Action package they did on my HK40C LEM is a distinct improvement, with every aspect of its function much smoother. The HK striker action package they performed on my P7 PSP is pure magic - it's simply hard to put into words how smooth and positive both the trigger pull and trigger reset is. Whatever you have done with your P2000 at GrayGuns, you are making the right choice. It may take some time, but you will love the results.

If you don't mind my asking, why did two trigger jobs take 7 months?
