VP9 on the way
I've been thinking about getting a VP9 for awhile but I just wasn't sure, then I found a great deal on a LE model with night sights and 3 mags at HK Specialist for $499. So, if you're in the market for one that's the best deal I've found for the LE package.

Very nice pistol, I love mine. I may be the minority, but I prefer it to my P320

Great price. I've been considering one of these for a long time but I'm just not sure I can get with the mag release design.

Great gun. I love to shoot my wife's when she lets me.

For me it is not a issue. I have a bunch of hand guns and have never I thought "oh crap ! I am shooting the blaster with the oddball mag release " Eek feels very intuitive.

Great pistol at a great price !

Good $ for sure. Some complain about the reverberation of the trigger, but I don't really feel it in mine.

That's an amazing price. Is that just for the LE version, or is that LEO pricing?

That's the LE package price for everyone. I picked mine up this evening, hopefully I'll get to shoot it this weekend.

Enjoy. Just an FYI. IF, If you run into any issues out of the box. Make sure it is cleaned, oiled and run a box or three of hotter or heavier ammo through it. NATO, +P, 147 grain etc. I have found most HKs need a little hot or heavy ammo to break them in before they will run the anemic light stuff. Most HKs are designed as hell for stout go to war guns and might need a little use to run with the cheap light stuff we like to run at the range.

I have ran Blazer Brass, W.W.B, Magtech, S&B, and even Walmart Perfecta with no issues.

I ordered one from HK Specialists 2 days ago. I cant seem to get any sort of contact from them. Tried calling several times, email...nothing.

Is this typical for this dealer? Seems odd to me.

It comes within a few times of shooting it. I regularly switch from a highly modified VP9 for idpa and a sig p220st for CDP division. It really becomes intuitive using you trigger finger or middle finger to release the mag at speed.

At 499 you probably won't loose any money if you decide you don't care for it.

That is a great price. $599 for the standard sights was typical just a few months ago.

BDMF,
HK Specialist has been around awhile and they're a sponsor on HKPRO. When I ordered two days went by and I emailed and asked if my FFL info had been recieved. They responded and said no,they hadn't received anything, so I forwarded the info again and received a tracking number within the hour. You should've gotten a response within a day.

I called and talked to Gordon today. Looks like the FFL may not have responded in a timely manner. He's a nice guy to talk to, I'm looking forward to picking up a P30 from him in the near future.

I had picked up a VP9 towards the end of last year and had problems with some 115 gr loads. Ran a good amount 124 gr loads and haven't had too much of a problem since
