I purchased a Legion p229 RX new in 2018. I wanted to upgrade to a romeo2 and bought a new Legion slide cut for the new Romeo2. All this went smoothly. I then purchased a filler plate for the original romeo1 slide so I could have a quick swap if I didn’t want to use an optic. My issue is the fasteners that came out of the romeo1 are too long to secure the filler plate. I can’t find the proper diameter screw to order a replacement shorter size. Sig told me it is a m4 x .7 but m4 is too thick. I had some m3 and they were too thin. Anyone have any tips? Thank you-AlThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Aljr,
If you have a micrometer or dial calipers, you can measure the threads major/outside diameter. A M4 is .157" diameter. The M3 is .118. M3.5 is .138 which sounds like what you need. Now you just need a shorter screw. Next time you need to convert metric to English, M4 X. 03937". Savvy? English to metric would be .157"÷.03937"= M4.
