Franklin Armory 10/22 Binary trigger
Ok. I was pretty excited with the introduction at Shot Show this year. Then I thought with Covid-19, it will be the end of the year before we see them. But hen they started popping up on YouTube. I was getting stoked. So I jumped on line and saw the Optic Planet had them. Maybe I read too quick but it turns out to be a back order. Boo! I was getting excited. What a letdown. I will let it sit.

That said, watching the folks on YouTube running these suppressed and unsuppressed. Looks like a giggle of fun out on the range.

Anyone get one yet?

I am looking to get one to play with. Don't feel like spending $499 to use up 5.56 faster. $299 to burn lots of .22LR is a little more reasonable. And it adds an ambi selector which is useful to me since crossbolts are backwards.

That said their Scorpion trigger is the one I would get if choosing any centerfire platform.

I figured this would be the gateway entry into the binary trigger world. I’m with you. The next would be the B&T. Maybe the echo trigger before election.

I went shooting over the 4th of July weekend with some friends and a couple of them had binary triggers on their guns, which included a 10/22, a M&P 15-22, an MP5 clone, an AK-47 and an AR-15.

They are fun and once you get the hang of it and into the ‘rhythm’ the rate of fire is pretty quick.

That said, you will burn through ammo much faster than you otherwise would and they are relatively expensive.

Also, with a round being fired on the trigger release having a binary trigger relegates the gun to range-use only imho.

If I were to get one it would be for my 10/22.

ETA - If you are looking for something ‘fun’ to shoot in full-auto one of the guys brought along his full-auto MP40 BB gun from Pyramyd Air which was pretty fun to shoot! There are some good video reviews out on the inter-webz id interested.

I was surprised at the quality, ‘feel’, accuracy and ‘value’ ($200) of this.

With a ‘mag dump’ of ~50 silver BB’s it looks like you are spraying a steady stream of water. Quite fun actually!!

Here is a pretty good video review of it.

Yeah, I was wondering and figured “probably not.” Oh well, not surprised. If they had their way, they’d confiscate everything, yesterday.

It looks like a lot of fun, and would be an absolute scream on a plinking range.

Not sure I'd buy from them whether it said it was in stock or not. Too many stories floating around about them listing items in stock when they don't actually have an item...
