I had do go down to the big city today and had an hour to spare. So, I thought I'd wander through Scheels and see what overpriced crap they had to sell.

I sauntered over to the pistol section and was looking at their selection when I came across a 365 AXG Legion. The tag was upside down, so I couldn't see the price, and started to just walk away thinking that it was priced hundreds over MSRP as is usual with Scheels. Then, a young pimply kid walks up and says, "See anything you like?".

Against my better judgement I said, "Yeah, let me fondle that Legion". Now...I've owned probably 50ish handguns over the span of my adult life. Some I've loved and some I've hated, some I've shot well and some I couldn't hit a barn with, but not one of them felt right in my hand. I felt like I always had to get used to the feel of the specific gun in my hand. And then...I picked up this Legion. The sky opened up and the angels began to sing. Never before have I put a pistol into my hand that felt like it belonged there. It's hard to describe, but if you know you know. It's like the engineer who dreamed this thing up knew me and made it just for me. It was remarkable, really.

And then I flipped the tag over and it read, "LNIB...$799". Where do I sign? For a $1200ish pistol that you'd never know was not NIB? Yep. It's mine.

Only problem is, I've always hated 9mm. Ever since we were forced to be issued that gawd awful Beretta in the Army that everyone seems to love for some effed up reason or another. I hated having to carry that damn thing, so I requested to carry an M16 instead (as a medic, it sucked, but it was worth it to avoid having to admit that I carried that M9).

Anyway, some years back, I disposed of anything not .45. So, apparently I need to order some 9mm dies and a shit ton of bullets. Sheesh. Seems I remember a recent thread about the extra costs of buying a new pistol/caliber.

And small pistol primers? Really? Do I need to put on a skirt before I order those?

And, here we go again....

Long story short...this is one sweet pistol and it shoots like butter. Why don't they make one in .45?

Nice!

Haven't shopped for a P365, but when I do, hopefully I'll find one like yours.

That's a nice snag at $799. I've fondled the P365 AXG Legion but wasn't willing to spend over $1K on one.

Oh, 9mm isn't that bad. You'll get used to it!

Enjoy!

Oh, that’s a great price! I used to hate 9mm too, was a 45 ACP only fan. Well, getting older, and the newer options out there, I’m liking the 9 more.
And that 365 axg legion? It’s a great little pistol, and you’re right, it shoots like butter and so accurate. I thought I did good picking mine up at just under $1100, finding one on sale, NIB. So getting one at $799 would be a no brainer.
Heck, I’d get another IF i saw one at that price. Glad you like it!

I haven't been interested in anything Sig makes in quite some time. Last year, I started at a local gun store and made a point to learn everything we stocked. I worked my way through the Sig lineup and none of it interested me. Then I picked up a 365 AXG Legion and it was the same effect on me, just an instant "wow, this is nice. I need one of these." Everything I know about short of actually shooting one really impresses me, and honestly, I kind of really want one. Even at dealer cost, it was a bit of a stretch for a new ecosystem, and shortly after that, I was into a Glock 43X for under $300, so I kinda have that "almost, but not quite" micro 9mm thing handled now. But I still want one.

Feels great in the hand, nice trigger, and you're into some really good magazine capacity right out of the box for a gun as svelte as it is. Throw an enclosed optic on it and basically that's it.

Buncha damn whippersnappers! Big Grin

I'm sure I spooked the new neighbors a bit (welcome to the neighborhood!), but I put about 100 rounds of 124 grainers through it out behind the shop yesterday, and dang if it didn't shoot well. It fits my hand so well that it's almost like I don't even have to aim. It just goes where my hand naturally points. I like it. I like it alot.
