Pics below if you don't want to read the story.

Last year when Mrs. Scurvy decided that she wanted a gun, some of the guns we rented were a CZ75, p09 and p07. I loved them all but the plain old 75 is what I really enjoyed shooting. Unfortunately all steel, single action full size guns are not my MO.

Eventually a buddy of mine turned me onto the PCR. Alloy fram, double/single action, compact? Yes please!! Checked out the P01 as well but the rails ruin the look for me.

Been on the hunt for one for a while and never saw one in person. Finally came across this gently used one right here. It arrived at my FFL and I picked it up today. Brought her home and cleaned her up. I need to find time for the range ASAP!!

As received:

Now I just need to get me some standard capacity mags to replace these neutered 10 rounders. Then I need to decide between the CZ aluminum of half checkered wood grips.

Situation awareness is defined as a continuous extraction of environmental information, integration of this information with previous knowledge to form a coherent mental picture in directing further perception and anticipating future events. Simply put, situational awareness mean knowing what is going on around you.

The PCR is my favorite CZ. I don't have mine any more, instead a P-07 and a P-01, but I don't like them any better. I'm surprised you found one, or any CZ, to rent. They are comparatively uncommon to even find for sale around here.

I, and apparently many others, found the P-01's sharply forward-curved trigger to dig a hole in my finger and leave a flap of skin hanging. I thought about selling it, but finally decided to send it off to CGW for a reshaped trigger and some polishing while they were in there. The PCR was completely comfortable to shoot.

Sorry guys, since photobucket lost their mine, I don't have an easy way to resize my pictures.

This is the only site that doesn't automatically resize.

Just right click, view image to see the whole thing.

Very Nice gun. I too only like the looks of the CZ 75 (I have a CZ75 SA). I agree, it's really hard to find any CZs in stock for sale. My favorite looking CZ is the CZ 75 satin stainless. I've only seen one at a gun show once.

next on my list. My 97B, P09, RAMI poly, P10c, and 75 compact need a P01 to play with.

Congrats! Think about sending it to Cajun Custom for one of their Defensive Pistol Package upgrades. From the factory these are well made carry pieces, but with just a bit of work they become extraordinary!

Congrats! PCRs are awesome pistols. Family has two; thousands of rounds down range with perfect reliability with all ammo, 115 gr +p FMJ, hot NATO 124gr FMJ, and 147gr Gold Dot LE stuff, etc.

Only mods: rubber base pads for the 14rd std mags; 16rd spare mags; VZ G10 grips; solid stainless steel guide rods. And for dry firing, always use #83 O-rings; trigger action really smoothes up after lots of dry firing and actual use.
