O for 4 with high end custom shop kimbers. Couldn't get through a single mag with most of them.

Mine was a disaster in terms of reliability. Pretty paperweight!

My choices would be one of these or all 4!

Springfield MC Operator
Dan Wesson Specialist
Colt combat unit rail gun
Colt m45a1 cqbp

For ME:
DA/SA=Sig 9mm or HK P30 LEM 9
Striker fired= Glock 9mm
If it's a .45= 1911
Suppressed= HK in .45
I like anything in 10mm

I had the CDP full size and the hammer would follow the slide down , I had Custom TAC 2 some years back and it would jam every time out . I did buy the old first Warrior when it came out , never a problem . the finish is all worn but I do not care , I look and look at new ones but I will not buy them . I think the one your looking at ia a little high the grips are the only plus to your deal .

I have three Kimbers. A pro carry and two TLEs, one black and one stainless. I have never had a problem with any of them.

Kimbers of the II variety are really inconsistent, as I'm sure you figured out from the previous posts.

How well do you know the current owner? If it's someone you know well enough, and you do want the gun, perhaps you can voice your concerns and offer to buy it contingent on a range trip (with them accompanying if they so choose)?

Otherwise it may not be worth the risk. Could be flawless, could be useless...that's a pretty wide spectrum to through $900 into...

I've actually had good luck with used Kimbers, both older ones and newer ones, but I would not pay $900 for a used TLE. I paid $700 for a like-new Stainless TLE/RL II. Resale value is terrible on Kimbers. I personally haven't had any issues with them but wouldn't pay top dollar.

That's a handsome pistol by any standard.

I've owned a few Kimber's, and never had a real issue with them, except for one with the usual slide stop issue. I just swapped out the Kimber part for a Wilson part, and it was good to go.

I had a TLE that I used as an IDPA pistol, and over time this one also became my favorite carry pistol, due to the reliability at the IDPA matches.
This one received all Wilson and EGW internals over time, and never skipped a beat with Any type of ammo.

Owned a couple. Not a fan. I think there are better performers in this class. DW, STI, and Springer come to mind. However, I have always said that Kimber wins the "style" battle. Nice looking pistol!

I just got back from the range and am glad to report it ran perfect. I used 5 brand new CM Powermags and the factory Kimber mag.
