Well I hadn't heard of this thing until yesterday when MAC released a youtube video about it. Checked with my local FFL and they had 2 in stock @ $639 each. Ended up picking one up today as I've been very happy with my US Army Edition Tisas 1911 (I picked it up 5 months ago for a little over $200 used and it has been flawless).

Fit and finish is excellent. Hope to have a range report sometime this upcoming week. Just thought I'd let the brain trust know about it as I totally missed that it was at SHOT Show this year.

Looks like a clean design, without logos & labels everywhere. Not a bad price either. Hope it shoots well for you.
A 1911 is one that's missing from my group, need to remedy that.

This and the Beretta 92xi SAO are the only 2 guns that have really sparked my interest. I’ve been reading and watching reviews on the Tiasas Raider, that will probably be my first purchase as it’s in line with my current budget. It is a very nice looking railed 1911. I had a Springfield Operator that my brother talked me out of, bought back when prices were better. This checks all the boxes for me at a reasonable price and will probably be more readily available than the 92xi SAO to start out with anyways.

If it's as good as my Tisas 1911A1 Service Special, I will want one very soon!

Keep an eye out. I was in the same boat but perfectly happy with a 9mm, so picked up one of the DB versions that were being blown out recently. You may find there are still some good deals on those out there.

And, yes, I feel like a goon for buying something from the Land of Erdogan. My only consolation was catching models that were being phased out on sale.

OK so here's my range report. 100rds fired today, all PMC 230gr FMJ, 1 failure to feed with an ACT Brand 8rd magazine somewhere around the 75th fired. Not sure why it just failed to feed.

Shot a little to the left so I'll need to adjust the sights but didnt have anything with me to do that.

This is 32rounds after I started adjusting my hold to the right a little, distance was 7 yards and fairly rapid fire.

I picked up a Tanker model last year and very pleased with Tisas quality and function. They now have the tanker commander model with some upgrades which is quite nice.

Was thinking on this new mod but picked up their stainless carry model. Haven’t shot this one but quite happy. I will say the grips on both need replaced but still functional.

I passed on a bantam model last Black Friday sales at half price!!! Buyers should be on the lookout for d/c models. Now I hope they make a 2011 style double stack 9mm. I’d be first to pick one up.
