soggy_spinoutColor of the G10 for me depends on the finish of the gun.
I would've chosen both wood and G10 as grip material options but the survey would only allow one, so I chose G10. On a natural stainless MkIV wood is my aesthetic preference though G10 is fine as well. For any other color frame/slide I'd likely choose a synthetic in a color to compliment. If at some point I were to dabble with aftermarket barrels and other visible assemblies, most definitely I'd go with some appropriate color in G10, especially if those assemblies are available in colors (like TacSol's) and I want to have a bit of fun with the build.
I've never liked the thumbrest on factory Ruger wood grips for the MkIII and earlier; they're always sized for someone with larger hands and fingers than my own. And therein lies my problem with them; there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution, I think. I'd rather do without than use something that ultimately is annoying. As for texture: it's a 22LR. I don't see any pressing need for anything more aggressive.
My 2¢, freely given.

Ken @ Hogue IncGreat, Thanks for the feed back.
Keep them coming. One other question I failed to include would be material choice for the G10.
.......What color/texture would you like for your G10 grip.
We Thank You for your support.

techguyI voted G10 blue lava chain link.

BillyBonesNYLove your G10 and Micarta!
With and without thumbrest.
I would also like to see laminated hardwood as well as
Full blown international target grips with stippling.
Adds a solid feel to any firearm.

agonyI originally voted
G10, no thumbrest, checkered.
But after looking a little more closely, I'd prefer the piranha texture.
As for color, G-Mascus Black or Dark Earth for me.

4x5I'd like to see the Pirhana in blue or dark earth.

dc54G-Mascus Black/Gray, Checkered. I didn't think about changing the grips until you started this thread.

Ken,
I have a new MKIV 22-45 on the way. Will std. 1911 grips fit it?

off the top out of the box, no. there are alot of variables. Screw spread, screw hole diameter and then the safety cutouts and slide lock. we have yet to receive our frame so I don't know what the screw spread is. 1911 grip screw spread is 3.078" or 3 5/64"

apprenticeI'd prefer rubber grips w/o thumb rest. Makes for a slim and quiet profile while holstered and hunting with a longarm.
Thanks for asking for input.

BisleyblackhawkAnother vote for G-Mascus...checkered in black/grey.

BuddyChrystI'm a big fan of the rubber over molded. I don't have a Ruger yet, but expect to when my daughters get old enough to learn. I voted left side thumb rest, but wouldn't imagine sans rest would be any issue.
Off topic, but what I would love to see is a Hogue P320 rubberized grip module! I don't like slip-ons, so until a Hogue option presents itself, I'll be adding Talon rubber overlays.
