I don't find the CZ82 size to be much of an issue. The J&G buys at $199 are a bargain I think. Especially when they are C&R. The finish is pretty bad, but the metal is fine. Having refurbished seven of these, the results are very nice. I have parkerized and cerakote. I like to park all the small parts. Sights are the same as used on the full size CZ75, and I like the fiber ones. The sear spring is the tricky part. There is an access hole, and I made a tool for it. I haven't done pics before, so I hope this works.

Thank you very much, and welcome to the forum!

The one I ordered came in today, I went later during the day to pick it up. I had to really look for the chipped area, it was at the left thumb safety.

I lucked up really good, perhaps they took kindness on me since it was going to Virginia. Of course its not like new, but there is just one place the finish wore through on the left side of the slide. The trigger both in DA/SA is really smooth.

Only negative in appearance is the importer's stampings, which luckily is one the front grip strap in small letters, thankfully not on the slide.

It fits my hand perfectly, I loaded a magazine with some 9x18 ammo I purchased to see how heavy it was loaded. It is not as bad in weight wise as I had feared. The pistol balances and points like a dream.

I may have CCR refinish this pistol in their CeraHide House Black, mimicking the original finish. Or I might get brave and do it in KGGunCote Nano black.

Very , very pleased at this purchase.

I took the liberty of posting a picture of your refinished CZ's

Thanks for posting the photo. I need to figure that out. I have enjoyed refinishing CZ82’s, CZ75’s, and the Israeli Jericho’s. Much instruction on YouTube, and private sites. Parkerizing is not difficult, and makes a nice military finish. Cerakote, more durable, but more involved. Check out Amazon for TruGlow sights. The grips shown in an earlier picture look like winners. The wood grips from CZ, while pretty, need careful adjusting to prevent cracking. I think the original CZ82 grips cracked because they needed to be fitted. I have a bunch of them. Good luck with your 82. You may wish you had picked up a few more. My sympathy about the recent gun control issues in VA. Montana has a lot of space, few people. For it’s size just under 1 million. Lots of guns....
