The Sig P320 and discharges.
Sounds like a long fingernail. There is this lady on instagram, red something phoenix or something. Her whole shtick is doing goofy unsafe shit and then saying it’s “training”. She is the “air rack”person I mentioned a few days ago. Another video was flinging out an empty mag, having someone off screen toss her a new one, and then there might have been another air rack. Not sure about that last bit. Then calling it training. Because we all have people tossing us mags to reload right? Anyway she too is of the incredibly long nails crowd. I can’t imagine long nails are beneficial around firearms.

Long story short, IF they are actually going off without a trigger pull, nobody to date has been able to demonstrate how. Even on the actual guns suspected of doing so. Which leads at least me personally to conclude that they're not.

The story itself is a study in PR mistakes, poor training and gun handling, internet drama, lawyer games, fanboyism, amateur engineering, YouTube click-whoring, and corporate greed. The video by Robert Burke a few posts above yours, while coming across a bit frustrated and angry, does a pretty good job of summing up the whole situation if you want to save yourself the time of reading through the whole thread. The Bruce Gray videos on this page and going back several pages prior will give you more technical details.

The thread itself, while it does contain some angst and bickering, does a pretty good job of discussing most of the individual incidents that have occurred over that past year or so, with reference to other incidents from before that. If you want to educate yourself on the entire history of sigforum P320 discussion as it unfolded, grab a pot of coffee and start reading! Big Grin.

Fantastic thanks! I'll check out the Bruce Grey videos, Bruce rocks. I'll check the other out as well, I appreciate you saving me a day of reading ;-)

I came across this video about eight months ago and the author has been able to reliably repeat the uncommanded discharge condition by taking a shortcut in the assembly process. This would not be the first time an improper assembly or maintenance procedure induces a malfunction in a given system, and it poimts to the importance of actually reading and following the manual for whatever yu're working on.

If this has been posted before I appologize as I didn't see it as I went through this thread. You can fast forward to the 8 minute mark where the author starts going into it, and the 11 minute mark to see the actual mistake that sets up the uncommanded discharge issue.

This is false. To date, no one has done that.

That video was posted and discussed. As I recall, the gun cannot be loaded in the condition he assembles his gun in because inserting a magazine corrects his claimed problem.

Edited to add:
It’s on page 60.

Is there any information on the trigger that Sig Armorer mentions in his video at 14:20?

I had an idea something was in the works when I posted this back in October, 2025.
Lena and Max left Sig Sauer at the same time.

LENA MICULEK IS BACK at S&W.

Since no one has been able to replicate the KD issue I'm going to say that anything is possible.

So
Lena Mikulek and Max Michel bailed out on Sig because P320?

I can't say. I was only responding to iron chef's thread drift post referenced in the link earlier in this thread. There had to be much more than just the P320 drama. I believe Isaac Lockwood started looking into other platforms as a result of the uncertainty of the pistol being banned, not because he didn't have faith in the platform. I'm sure the Grayguns version he helped develop is magnificent.

Max ended up at Staccato with a corporate Marketing role that wasn't as shooting focused. At 43 years of age, it is possible his proverbial clock was ticking and he was looking for a longer term role.

I wonder if Sig will stop sending me emails about their Rose sub brand that she helped develop now.

I’ve never believed that a 320 can spontaneously fire, not without some human-help. Every video I’ve seen proves it.

None of my 320's have had any issues, but I'm thinking about it.

This trigger does not make the P320 inherently safer. It imposes a mechanical lock that the shooter must disengage before the trigger travels rearward. This trigger is for shooters who want the tab for familiarity, confidence, or personal preference.

^^^^^^^

I’m fully aware of what it does. I’ve never bought into the “wood screw against the trigger” stunts. I carry my X-Ten hiking, so anything from backpack straps to sticks, etc getting in the holster is a possibility. I think the tab would help with that.

The grayguns.com trigger is priced competitively with the https://www.agencyarms.com/pro...ble-drop-in-trigger/

I see significant design differences that are attractive to me. I do have the other brand installed, and experienced mild "trigger slap" with it.

Oh, Shirley, we aren't going to let this thread go dormant?

Any news on the nation-wide front?

Any agencies, .gov, .mil, public and/or private ranges letting the P320 off their pariah status?

Announcements from Sig itself?

Any more current ND's that could have happened just as easily if everyone were carrying and holstering non-transfer bar SA revolvers with all 6 chambers loaded and the hammers at full cock?
