Most of my handguns wear the Streamlight TLR-1 HL light, which has a 1,000 lumen output and 20,000 candela. The Streamlight has a reputation for reliability and the price is very reasonable, IMHO. You also mentioned that you want both a light and laser so the TLR-2 HL may be more in line with what you are looking for.

Likewise, many people like the Surefire X300U series of lights , 1,000 lumen but I don’t know the candela. The Light/Laser combo is the X400U.

These are probably the most commonly recommended and purchased models.

I’ve been happy with my streamlights over the years. If I were in the market for a light/laser combo for night stand use, I’d go with the TLR-2HL.
