1973 Nickel Model 19
Picked this off a local forum this week. Pretty good condition for 53 years old. I plan to shoot it but it needs a little front sight paint first. Grips are Altamont Ropers. 19-3 so it's pinned and recessed.

Big Grin Thanks, I love old revolvers. I love to look at them, handle them, and shoot them. However I hate to clean them!! Big Grin

That's a beauty! IMO a 4" Model 19 is the cosmetic archetype of revolvers. They shoot great, too.

I'M with ya. I like how most N frames look, but the K frame is a better fit for me.

Not quite as old as me, but in a hell of a lot better shape and way better looking than me!

Try it first, you may like it OK. The nickel contrast to the black rear sight stands out really well on a S&W revolver. I carried a 2.5" nickel M19 with no RR or WO for several years, and never had to apply any thing to front sight, completely different from seeing black on black.

Nice! You just can't go wrong with a model 19, of any barrel length.

WOW - That is a Beautiful Gun. Great find. I love the Model 19 and 66. Have three between the two models but nothing this unique.

Gorgeous. Nice find! There’s exactly two S&W revolvers I want for my collection and I found the 686 early this year. A nice 4” 19 is the other. I’d be thrilled to find one just like that.

I got your combo too..sort of. I have a nice 4" 586 Nickel to go along with this 4" 19 Nickel. I don't have a 686 now but have had several in the past.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again. I am a child of the “Wundernine” era but damn if I don’t love me a good revolver and that sir is a damn nice looking wheel gun. Enjoy it in good health.

Years ago, I collected nickel Smiths. I had a snub, 4 inch, and 6 inch nickel M-19. They are all gone now, but I think the snub 19 is the most "gun looking" of the bunch.

I very much like the snub 19/66 models. I've had quite a few of them.
