When the xrays came out I thought they were great now I am realising that they are component that Sig skimped on to save money!!

I am considering changing to a common brand and color for all my pistols. what does everybody like and where do buy them from? !!

Last I heard, SIG now make the sights in-house.

I like the Night Fision or XS sights and have both of them on a few pistols. As I am getting older, I really appreciate the fact that those brands, as do some others, have colored rings around the tritium so I can get my focus quicker. For me the orange really jumps out at me more than the yellow, green or white.

I'm in the same boat in looking for new sights for a P320 Carry. Right now it's wearing irons to co-witness with an optic. But I've ditched the optic for serious carry purposes. Now the tall sights without the optic slow my presentations, because I can't see the top of the slide as easily as I create the sight picture, and the big black sights seem to be just floating out in space. Hard to describe.

In any case, I'm also looking at Night Fision and XS and have both on different guns. I like the U-notch and very bright yellow of the Night Fision, but the greater width of the rear sight notch on the XS set (.170 vs .138) suggests that the additional space may improve speed (on the margins, of course).

Other thoughts?

After trying different sight combinations I have been converting all my pistols to Heinie Straight 8 sights. I have found I acquire my sight picture quicker and am more accurate with them. Try a set before you make a final decision.

i appreciate the comment but they are 40 bucks more than the night fision and lack the ring around the tritium lamps so that isnt a contender for me!

Just curious, I like the X-Ray sights myself. What issues have you found with them? Am I missing something or have they changed the sights recently?

I’m on my third X-ray front sight on a P365XL that I’ve had for less than three years.

I, also, like them decently, have a set on three guns. I like them in the day light with the big front green dot, but will say they don’t glow as bright in low light like my Trijicons on my Glock 26.

Curious about the failure part, though. Failed to stay secured to the gun or something tritium related??

The xrays are well known to crap out (dead, not just dim, tritium) very prematurely. Been discussed several times on here. I never liked them in the first place, not because of this issue, but they are not very bright in the dark, even when brand new.

If the choice is more than the Siglite, Meprolight has been a good second choice

Through a variety of ways, I just bought some new SigLites for a P226, Glock NS for a Glock 27, and Meprolight NS for a Glock 23.

After they're installed, I'm going to do an informal comparison.
