sns3guppyI think I'd rather see it in 4340.
How will it compare in hardness on the contact surfaces, to the rest of the pistol?

Cobra21Very cool. The more intel I get the closer I get to pulling the trigger on one.

XLTIs it something that's truly needed or just an upgrade? I lost count on how many rounds out of my 365 but I think it's getting close to 3k no issues.

It'll be an upgrade part. The failure rate of the striker is actually around .0003%. Meaning they had roughly 3 to 4 strikers fail out of 250,000 pistols. But the internet being the internet it got blown waaaaayyyy out of proportion.

pm9I too have over 3000 rounds with no striker problems but I am all in favor of aftermarket parts being manufactured for this great little gun.

FundmanI'd love to see where 0.0003 came from. Why would you go to all the expense of making this part if there was such an infinitesimal need?

Blume9mmCan't really see the need... are y'all going to guarantee that yours will function at a better rate than factory, as in less than .0002%?

hksig45I must have been ‘lucky’ to have my P365 break a striker at 957 fired rounds.
While SIG’s customer service was fantastic, I had to wait 18 days for my P365 to be repaired.
Would be nice just to have the spare part on hand.

I dont believe that for a second. its probably into the hundreds of broken strikers, but of course, Sig doesn't want that info out.

Didn't happen. Sigforum says so.
