NT7 is the improved version of NP3. I got to handle about 5 examples of it at a recent expo here in Phoenix. Whereas NP3 has a 'sheen', or slight gloss to it, this one does not. It's a far more dull, nearly matte finish. Still a 'white' finish for sure, but I was amazed at how much better it looked.

I can wholeheartedly endorse CCR's Cera Hide. Got one of my 228s done with their House Black on the slide and OD green with black controls on the frame and it is sweet! And quite affordable as well.
