randymanMy New P226 Scorpion - What I didn't Know!
I recently lucked onto a P226 Scorpion Elite on GB for a great price. It was the CA Compliant model with the 10 round mags. That didn't matter to me as I have plenty of 15, 18, and 20 rounders. When I went to pick it up at my local FFL, I checked the trigger action and the gun would not operate in either single or double action mode. My FFL's husband walked in, inserted the mag, and...SURPRISE! - the action worked! I had know idea that Sig made pistols with the magazine disconnect! Felt like an absolute fool! Getting ready to take her to the range this weekend.

KMitch200Is that part of the CA requirement?
I don’t know anything about the scorpion.

jer830Unless the slide has been swapped, a CA gun should also have a loaded chamber flag on top of the slide with lettering. The mag disconnect is easily fixed by getting a standard locking insert from Sig.

12131Better yet, save your money and remove the mag disconnect from the locking insert yourself. A very simple task.

94hokieAnd the loaded chamber flag is ginormous. I picked up a lower priced CA approved 226 thinking it was only neutered mags, nope. Huge billboard on the slide pointing out the LCA.
