I have a Baby Browning. There is only one magazine. Are any magazines other than Browning's reliable?

I'll add a photo tomorrow.

Hi,

I hope this helps you and your Baby Browning.

I have one also, it isn't 100% reliable yet. Mine is a range toy.

There is a wealth of information here: https://www.precisionsmallarms.com/ (check out all the drop down menu's at the top of the home page)

They make a FN licensed copy of the Baby Browning here in the US. They sell parts and in addition, they refurbish FN produced Baby Browning guns.

PSA contracts with MecGar for new magazine production. The PSA/MecGar magazines are produced with a round top magazine follower.
(one of the few things FN and PSA agree on)

Baby Browning magazine bodies are not heat treated, they crack due to the thin gauge sheet steel if they are heat treated.

The magazines require periodic burr removal/straightening/dent removal if you shoot them a lot. (the down side of not having heat treated magazine bodies)

Directions for magazine maintenance here: https://www.precisionsmallarms.com/at-your-service (fifth paragraph from the top of the page)

You can still buy FN produced magazines from PSA, they have the flat followers if you choose that path.

They also sell Baby Browning parts with decorative plating, gold, rose gold and much more.

Thanks. That is great help.

This is a FN made in 1966 according to Browning's website. It was my mother in laws, and it wouldn't surprise me if it was never shot. If it was shot, it was probably a couple of magazines. It has lived in a pouch since 1966 so the one magazine is pristine, but I always like to have a couple of extra magazines.

Cool!

I traded into a stainless steel Baby Browning clone and it is more fun than I thought it would be.
