Picked up a SIG Pro 2340 +Update: Added SP2022 bottom of pg 1
i got an SP2340 from an old SF member long ago. It came with so much ammo, that the gun was almost free. I later traded it at a gun show for a Remington 700, plus $150 from me. But I always missed that SIG. So I grabbed an SP2022 after fondling one at SHOT long ago. It was a total dud, went back to SIG for warranty issues and still never worked right. But if I could find that guy who has my old SP2340, I'd buy it back. It was a great gun and a great bang for the buck.

I have a SP2340 in 357 Sig and a SP2022 in 9mm. As someone else mentioned, you can swap slides. I put my 2340 slide on my 2022 frame so that I could have a pistol in 357 sig with a light on it. I will say that the Swiss frame seems to have a smoother trigger.

Very nice pick up on both.

Picked up a 2022 a few years back and it quickly became a favorite, so much so I bought another one. My daughter shot one and claimed it for herself so I bought a third. When walking through the display at the new SIG building in Epping I noticed they no longer display the 2022. A rep told me it might not be around much longer.

My very first pistol way back in 1999 or so when I was still an apprentice was a then brand new Sigpro 2009. Got it because the 226 was way too expensive for me.

Still like the concept of it, but it never truly lived up to the expectations. Later on I replaced it with a 228 and a 225.

What does Sig sell for the proprietary light, or any other manufacturer?

Very nice grabs. I would have made one of those my carry pistol years ago, if I could have found flat base plates for the magazines.

Still have my 2340 in .40 that I bought in 2002.

Victor,
I'm by no means an authority on the subject but pretty much no light unless you can find a rare old one. The rail became obsolete very quickly.

The SP 2340 was my first SIG and it has the highest round count of any bottom feeder I have and has been 100% reliable.
