Considering buying a M11-A1 as I this as is close as I can get to getting a new non-railed P228. Anyone know if the UID label can be removed from these without any visible damage to the frame finish?

Thanks

.

It will come right off the first time you run it through the dishwasher.

I've had my M11A1 for about 6 months.
Probably a dozen cleanings (at least).
The sticker came off last weekend as the Hoppe's loosened it up.
Used a toothpick to get under the edge and peel it off.

No. Leave it on. Chicks are attracted to the operator.

That sticker falls off and the gun's value immediately drops 100$s

Depending on the day either my favorite or second favorite SIG I own.

I did cry when mine fell off. I held a small service for it; played Amazing Grace; and released a dozen white doves. It took months, but I've finally learned that life goes on sans sticker. I hope it's not as painful on you as it was for me. When I was left alone in the world stickerless, I initially didn't think I had the power to move forward, eventually I did. Trust me day by day it does get easier.

I yanked mine off before anyone saw it, as it was CROOKED! Gun still seemed to work great.

When I first got my M11-A1, I was shooting low & left. After 1000+ rounds, the sticker fell off & my shooting was now dead center. I think the weight of the sticker was the issue.

Worse still if you buy during a rebate period and are forced to deface the box by removing the labels! (One of my factory SF WTF threads)

Mine came off on its own with no damage, so +1 to everyone saying you can remove it easily.

You can tell people "I tactically removed the sticker because I am an operator operating operationally and needed to sanitize my weapon" if you want.

EDIT: Email inbound with a sticker-free pic.

Thanks, Legal Beagle - pic received and it looks like the label was never there. Wink

...one more question..

What have fellow members been paying for a new M11-A1? Want to get an idea on what a "good" price would be when I go to my local shop.

Thanks
