I know there is a lot of “bad press” so to speak on the Sig P320. My old agency carries all Sig P320 and have done so since 2015. I have bought a Wilson Combat WCP320 Carry in 9mm. Can anyone say or point to these discharges without touching the gun that is supposed to be happening? The WCP320 does have a light trigger (1.45lbs to be exact), but I sure do not want any accidents with it. I am scheduled to take a handgun class in about a week and was wanting to use the WCP320 for some if not all of the class. It would give me an opportunity to run 300-500 rounds through it.

1.45lbs is pretty darn light for a P320 trigger. Are you 100% sure about that measurement? All the ones I've handled have been more than double that...usually 4-5lbs, which is still pretty light for what is essentially an SAO trigger in a carry gun. It doesn't take much of a mistake with a trigger like that to make the gun go bang when you don't want it to.

I have a 4 P320s in the house, 2 X5 Legions and 2 CW FCU built Carry sized guns. The two Legions have trigger pulls right under 3lbs and the two FCUs come in just over 3lbs. I am not sure that I would feel comfortable taking a class with a 1.4 lb trigger. My biggest concern would be the lack of trigger to “prep” and either over prepping the gun or mashing my way through without a good “prep”. I have a 1 lb SA trigger on a 625 S&W and it is scary light. If in fact your WCP320 has a pull weight below 2 lbs, I would think it was unintentional from Wilson.This message has been edited. I'm another 320 guy. The stated 1.4lb trigger makes we wary. I am NOT CERTIFED as a 320 Armorer, but I wouldn't be surprised if that fall below what SIG recommends for a trigger pull weight. You might want to check with Wilson Combat as well.
Question, how are you measuring trigger pull? When was your last calibration?

I've spent a lot of time shooting 1911s with 2 lb. triggers. No way I would carry a P320 with a 1.4lb trigger. Not even for range use only. Is 1.45lbs the correct pull weight?
