Can older factory 12 round 40 cal P229 mags be retrofit with the shorter mecgar follower to increase capacity? If so where can the replacement follower/springs be found? Thanks!

I know you can increase the old German P228 mag capacity from 13 to 15 by shortening the follower (using the Mec-Gar follower). So, I see no reason you cannot increase the capacity of the P229 .40/.357 by doing the same. But, I suspect you can only up it from 12 to 13, since the round is bigger.
