V-TailP938 Safety
What is involved in changing the P938 ambi safety to a single side safety (left, of course) like the P238?

Lefty SigYou send it to a lefty, and buy one with a single side safety.

Have you ever seen a P938 single sided safety directly from SIG?

Johnny 3eaglesBuy the P238 single side safety parts from Sig.
Remove the two side safety from the P938
Install the single side safety parts from the P238 parts.
Order new grips from LOK, specifying grips with NO right side safety cut. (I was the first he made them for)

limblessbiffI did it myself years ago, it’s not hard but make sure you are careful and don’t let the spring/small parts go flying. Just watch a YouTube video. It’ll take you 10 min

r0gueI imagine the answer is no, but I'll ask. I have the 938 Legion, which has some really nice grips, and that green colored ambi safety. The single sided safety is not available in green right? And there's no single sided version of the grips for the Legion (without the cutout?)?

Johnny 3eaglesCheck with LOK to see if he can produce a reasonable facsimile of the Legion grips.
SIG made a P238 Legion, perhaps parts are available.

Yes, I bought the single sided safety directly from Sig. if memory serves me though, I think I actually placed a call to order the part. I did the swap myself and remember it being relatively easy to accomplish. I’ve since sold off my P938 to a fellow forum member and sent off all the spare parts that had been replaced.

You answered the question that I asked. Stoopid me, I did not phrase my question correctly. What I really meant to ask: Has SIG ever offered a P938 pistol with a single side safety?
