I am hoping someone might have recommendations for a leather shoulder holster for a p220 .45acp and two magazines. The gun has an older Surefire x400 light/laser attached. I think it shares profile with the newer Surefire X400 ultra, but if anyone knows that the older one doesn't that would be great to know before I drop money in a shoulder rig. If anyone has experience using a concealed carry waist holster that would fit this set up, I am interested in hearing about it! Thanks for a great forum. I have wanted a sig for a long time, but got spooked by the ejector issues, but now it's finally time for the transition!

I cant comment on the lights, but if anyone can build the rig for you, Forum member RGrizzle can. You will wait for it, but it is worth the wait. Welcome aboard. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

Thanks. And, Unfortunately (or fortunately), I may not need the rig. I haven't paid for the gunbroker lot that I was excited about yet. And, I just found the identical pictures offering the item for sale on Armslist in Michigan in January and then again in Utah in May. Prices all over the place 1900, 550, and now 1350. Further, the seller listed as in GA and has contact information in IL. Dunno what to think other than it's obviously sketchy, so I forwarded the jpgs to gunbroker to see what they say.

Have you used a shoulder holster before? Many of them are very uncomfortable after a few hours...the classic Miami rig with wide straps is good. Custom rig is the best because the maker can make the shoulder straps nice and wide. We were told to wear several different brands of shoulder holsters while the CG was beta testing them for some guys in special boats. The seats were such that a belt and gun at the waist wouldn’t work. IIRC the standard tanker holster was the worst because the straps were skinny. The wider the strap the better the ride. I think Galco brand Won the contract. And then the CG shitcanned buying those boats, so it was all moot. Even with the light, 1350 is way too much for that gun. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

Thanks for the advice all. I have been communicating with the seller and although my gut is that he is legit based upon the quality of communication and details, the red flags are simply too high for me to proceed without paying through a secure and safe method. I am in the process of hunting down a new one in South Alabama and am probably going to spring for a P220R DA/SA Legion and then figure out what kind of laser/light I want to buy for it. Sketchy is sketchy so I am not fooling with sketchy, lol. Thanks Yooper for the advice on price. I was and am ok with the price if it really was a safe queen and the light functions. As it stands, if I put a new Surefire on a new one and buy a threaded barrel, I will have a used gun in my hands that cost a grand more, lol. But, I will have the satisfaction of buying it new, higher lumens, ir, perhaps a couple of extra features on the laser, an extra mag. So, holy cow, you are probably right. All that extra and the updates with a spare barrel to boot, is probably well worth a grand, lol. I agree a shoulder strap can be uncomfortable after a few hours, but I love the one I use with my Kimber, despite the $200 or so I dropped on it. I am a sturdy guy, not exactly fat, but thick straight down. So, waist concealment is an option that makes me feel like I need suspenders or to maintain my weight very consistently so all my pants fit exactly the same way, all day for years, lol. I would probably be happy with something that worked very well with a belt, but that would be a new experiment. Thanks again, and I will troll and bbl when I am finally a member of the SIG owner club. Soon, but not today since it's Sunday in Alabama! This message has been edited. Last edited by: Pips,
