The all new .44 Auto Mag. Who wants one?

honestlouThe all new .44 Auto Mag. Who wants one?
Unfortunately, their production is delayed, and what was estimated at about 60 days will not be available for over 120 days. So I sent an email cancelling my order and requesting a refund. Hopefully I will not have any trouble with the refund, and I hope that they get their production issues solved so that I can order one in the future.
Anyone else order one of these?

wolfe 21Looks cool, but WAY out of my price range for a range toy. Best of luck to those who've ordered one. I am intrigued enough to wait for a range report.
A Perpetual Disappointment...

casThey're not for... Glock people.

Meaning to say, they're not for people who want to buy a Toyota and just drive them. They're for people who want to buy English sports cars or old Jeeps and accept and expect that there will be quirks and peculiarities to say the least.

I was afraid that this might suffer the same fate as the reintroduction of the Bren Ten....

honestlou **This is an older thread.**The new Auto Mag, Ltd was put into Chapter 7 bankruptcy this past February.
I really wanted one of these. I ordered one in May of 2021, and cancelled the order in July of 2021 because they couldn’t get their production act together. I had prepaid to get the “free” presentation case, but I did get a refund. I just wasn’t comfortable letting a credit card charge go long enough that I wouldn’t be able to dispute the charge, and they had no idea when my gun would be delivered.
I know that they did produce a number of guns, so I guess I would have eventually received one. Every so often I’d check to see if things had improved and they never seemed to. I just thought about it again and searched and discovered this news. Seems they are done.

casI don't think anyone who dabbles in such things is surprised at all sadly.

MacGyverI think the only way that niche products like this can ever have a chance in the modern day is if they are made by companies that are already highly profitable (i.e. selling something mainstream that can subsidize the niche product).

Magnum Research seems to be doing OK with their Desert Eagle Magnums, although they are owned by Kahr now which probably helps.
Besides, .50 AE is the big dog for autos and .500 S&W is the big dog for revolvers. The only reason we want the Automag is because of Dirty Harry Sudden Impact.

It definitely helped, because they were in financial difficulties when they sold to Kahr in 2010, and that’s the whole point of MacGyver’s post.

Lefty SigMaybe you can call Justin Moon and suggest he buy Automag and start building them. While you are at it ask him to buy Fortis from "Vltor" and start making Bren X's too. If those go OK he can make the Widley .475.
Kahr can be the all-movie-and-TV-big-guns company.
Going to need those rifle cannons from Robocop too. And Robocop's handgun. And Decker's Blaster. And the Aliens Pulse Rifle.
