Are the Promag offerings any good in this gun? S-I-L is looking for a couple, for the P245 I sold him a few months back and of course Sig has discontinued them. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A. I don't think you'll find anybody recommending Pro-Mags here. My experience with one was poor. But that was a long time ago. You might be surprised and get at least one that actually works. Check the seller's return policy, and relegate them to target/range practice. Possible alternative: Armscor/ACT-Mags for P245 & P220 Compact, 8 round with finger extension from Greg Cote Like all extended mags, this kind of defeats the purpose of the short grip for carry.

I have NO experience w/ Promags, but if I'm a betting man, probably NOT. That said, there are other options you may or may not be aware of: - P220c mags are basically the same w/ a slightly different profile to the baseplate estension. - P220 mags work just fine, though obviously NOT ideal for concealed carry. The do make great spare mags/reloads for CCW though. - X-Grip Mag Adapters used w/ an 8rd P220 Mag are a great option and essentially create a DIY home-spun P220 Carry. I have a few and use them for range use, which honestly is the only use my P245 gets anyway. https://x-grips.com/sigsauer/p245p220c/ Available from GregCote LLC @ $15.95 --> https://gregcotellc.com/cart/x...cp-xgs220-p-972.html Here's a pic of my 'KK' proofed P245 w/ the X-Grip: ____________________________________________________________ If Some is Good, and More is Better.....then Too Much, is Just Enough !! Yes, factory P245 mags have become hard to find and are ruinously expensive when you do. Personally I wouldn't even buy a promag to use as a training mag. I do currently have one from a Compact P320 that somebody gave me for free and I have been playing around with it to see if I can get it to fail. So far it hasn't, for what that's worth, but the quality control is visibly inferior to my Sig mags. For the P245, if she's got a couple of factory mags she could buy some full-size P220 mags to carry as reloads, and carry the shorter mag in the gun. That's what I did when I carried my P245, and they worked great and you get 2 extra rounds. Full-size P220 mags are still readily available and reasonably affordable. The ACT-MAG aftermarket ones that Greg Cote sells are just fine, too. ----------------------------------------------------------- Any comments made by this poster are my own and do not reflect the views or opinions of my employer.

I had trouble with a P229 magazine a while back, at an OpSpec Training event. Bruce Gray got one look at it, grinned, asked, “may I?” and tossed it into a trash can. Then he grinned again and said, “friends don’t let friends run ProMag.” Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around. — — — — — — — — — — — — God bless America.
