| So just got the new replacement 101. And now I’m really mad bc I had spent time making it smooth, fixing the trigger etc. this new one has a 15pound plus trigger….guess I’m gonna have to polish the insides of everything tomorrow and fit the altamonte grips to it. But hey, got a new gun. Thanks Ruger

| Hey Mike, I just bought a new SP101 and was planning on polishing using the Mcarbo video guide. I was also going to do their shim and springs. Is that a solid plan? What is your methodology? I have only owned a 22 version of SP101 and just accepted the trigger as is. Mine will be the 3” half lug Lipsey version. Thanks. I keep reading about IBOK or something like that as a guide but have zero clue what that is. |

Is that a solid plan? It is, the mcarbo is the old IBOK
What is your methodology? I use flitz and a dremel. And a stick with 800 for the edge of the area where the pawl/hand sits on the frame of the trigger assy-my dremel wont fit in there

The old IBOK is the MCARBO Be very very careful when removing the hand/pawl as there is a spring and detent that, like an AR15 detent, will try and leave the planet
