Sig has recently started installing manual safety kits on the new 365 TACOPS if you send the whole gun in. The price is two hundred including shipping both ways. Is it usual for Sig to just start selling a model with the manual safety option after they first start selling kits? I’d just as soon wait for the straight from factory. Do any of the X Macro versions have a manual safety option currently ? Thanks

I saw it listed after I picked up my non-safety model.

probably a good thing I don't have a cut |
They have a model number for the regular Xmacro with a manual safety now, 365XCA-9-BXR3-MS. https://www.sigsauer.com/p365-xmacro-1.html I would buy that one and buy the 2 extra magazines and mag funnel separately instead if I had to have them.

Thanks for that model number. I may like that one better. I have a TACOPS I was going to send in for the MS but I’m not fond of the giant magwell. Thanks again

Another option would be to pick up a SIG manual safety parts kit and a Grayguns or other aftermarket grip with the manual safety cutout.

Take look on line; there are a few videos on how to install a manual safety. It actually looks pretty easy, and the kit I believe even comes with the grip with the cut out for the safety and the magazine release button installed. It’s priced around $50.

I'll bet it's more than $50 and doesn't have a Macro Grip Module.

You’re correct……..$50 is only for the pieces that make up the safety and does not include the grip module that has the cut out for the safety and mag release button. Some guys who are handy with tools saw out the cut outs for the safety or some just buy a whole new grip. That’s another $45.

Left-Handed, NOT Left-Winged! |
Safety is standard width and a Macro grip frame needs both the cut for the axle and a stepped down areas for the tangs. The axle cut is not hard to do and is usually hidden if done right. The step down is going to be visible and there isn't a good way to do it unless you have a mill. AB Prototype might be able to do it. The safety kit is about $50 and factory safety-cut frame from Sig (when available) will be about $75. Personally all my P365's were non-safety, and I added the safeties and grip frames myself. Easy job and can change back any time. I use the Wilson frames on mine so I'm waiting for their X-Macro version.
