The best thing I ever did for my back was move my rig from 4:00 to 3:00. It was a recommendation from a retired officer with severe back problems. Having the gun riding directly over my hip relieved the back stress and imbalance of kidney carry. Give it a try. You'll be surprised!

I have NO ass, larger than it should be belly and some of the low back pain you're talking about. Suspenders work pretty good for me. I still have to use a good stiff belt and the weight will sometimes become irritating because of the lack of butt to help keep everything up, but at least it helps with the back pain. And I don't have to pick my pants up off the floor anymore. And yes moving everything further around helps too. ———- Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for thou art crunchy and taste good with catsup.

One of the reasons that I moved to 2:00. I wouldn't do it with a Glock but I ride the hammer of my beaver-tailed P226 all the way home and keep safe my femur, femoral artery, and family jewels. I have been moving my holsters forward and it's defiantly helping. I just need to get some holsters better designed for carrying in that location. Training as often as possible! NSSF Media Member
