Glock 45 which cut?
So I have my non-mos Glock 45 that I want to cut. But I'm not sure if I want to put a ACRO on it or another Holosun 507COMP. I was thinking about sending it to Glockstore or C&H for the regular RMR cut, but is there a good adaptor plate that would fit a RMR to ACRO cut?

RMR Cut is $125 but the ACRO cut is $200

Have you compared it to other enclosed red dots, such as the Acro? I own an Acro, and it wouldn't be my first choice for an enclosed optic. I actually prefer both my COA red dot and the Vortex Defender-ST Enclosed Red Dot.

The COA uses the ACUT footprint, and GlockStore also offers that as one of their optic cut options.

What's the purpose of the pistol? Duty/CCW/Home Defense?

I'm a proponent of enclosed red dots for carry and Duty... I have an RCR and COA... both are good optics. Can't go wrong with either optic IMO.

Appears that C&H is the best option to go from the RMR footprint to the ACRO.

Just to bring something new up, the new Colt Optics has an ACRO pattern optic that looks interesting.

There are a couple companies that offer RMR to ACRO plates, including C&H and Strike Industries.

They'll run you ~$50-$70, with the $70 C&H plate being the higher quality option,

So the price for ACRO cut vs RMR cut + plate is basically a wash. It comes down to whether you for sure want an ACRO and plan to stick to that footprint indefinitely, or you want to go with the more broadly accepted and widely adaptable RMR cut at the cost of maybe having to use an adapter plate if you do decide to go with the ACRO at some point.

I went through this about a year ago. Thing is, the ACRO footprint gives you the ACRO or the Steiner MPS. That's it. RMR gives you oodles of options natively, and for everything else, there's adapter plates.

I just ran a search to confirm all the current ACRO footprint options, and it looks like there's a few others, but I have no idea whether they're worth a damn. Vector Optics Frenzy Plus, Bushnell FastFire E, Lucid Optics E7, and the C&H Duty.

I dunno, if I were doing the same thing today, I still wouldn't go ACRO.

It really comes down to what you do with the gun.
A play or gaming gun I would cut RMR.
I'm now in the COA fan club for anything I would carry daily.

COA is the only cut I'd do on a glock.
