An original H7K, sure!

One of the regrets of my gun buying life.

One of these newer models from P7Pro? Sure!
But at that price? Nope.
It seems to me that they are looking at the existing market for HECKLER & KOCH P-7's and saying "Charge that much!".

I think they are aimed at the segment that enjoy high quality pistols and genuinely like the P7 design. If quality is high, I think the price is likely spot on. The fact that they’re so customizable, gives them an advantage over the originals.

Are they meant to appeal to the masses? No they aren’t and I don’t think they care. Looks like low production, somewhat boutique handguns, so production probably couldn’t meet high volume anyway.

I had a P7M10 years ago, and thought the grip was too thick, so I’ll pass on this. I’ll stick with my HK P7M8.

The P7s are cool guns, but aside from the history and cool factor, aren’t that practical in today’s world. Size, weight, and capacity, I wouldn’t consider carrying one, and would just use it as a range toy. $3K is too much for a range toy, especially if it’s not a factory HK. No matter how well it’s made and regardless of any “improvements”, it will always be just a clone.

The M10/M13 are too thick. While I do like a fat bottomed girl, it doesn't work here. The M8's flaw is actually the ambi release. The P7 PSP would be my choice for the peak of the form.

I would entertain a new product, but be beyond highly skeptical.

Well some clones are a heck of a lot better than the originals. Not saying it’s true here, but most certainly true of the 1911 and CZ 75 platforms.

I kind of do the same with my P7M8's and M13, which is shoot them rarely. That was always my intention so when German police P7 trade-ins came over I grabbed a couple just to have for shooters.
