Was talking to one of the RPD guys that I'm friends with tonight. They have ended their 30-year relationship with Sig as duty weapons. Starting next month they will be Gen 5 17's. The tac team had already been issued 17's. Gen 5's will be replacing P229r Dak's in 357. RPD has also had the 357sig for 20 years. They were previous issued SP2340's in 357 starting in the late 90s. They 1st issued P226's in 9mm in the late 80's.

The Gen 5 is a nice pistol. How do they feel about giving up the .357?

Some are happy about it others are not.

Yeah seems like most PDs are going away from 357SIG, more often than not.

Actually VSP is staying with the 357 Sig in the 320. Transition will start early next year.
