The day it arrived, I went to Robert Burke (the Sig Armorer), who did a few minor precision passes on the critical surfaces. I have had ZERO problems with feeding and the pistol is VERY accurate (the regular recoil spring is used).
If you're having issues with your P239, I'd consider contacting Robert.
I'd send it to Robert and have him do a trigger job at the same time and make that gun almost perfect. I did that with my 226 and it came back a different weapon. An almost perfect weapon.

c1steveThis does look like the locking insert may be the hang up. I will look into this, and try to take some photos.
They are all brand new .357 mags. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Irv Stone just got back to me, he thinks that the ammo I am using has insufficient crimp, and that the sharp edge is hanging up on the locking insert.

Still, what is going on is exactly what happens with one of my p239s when I try to 'hand' chamber a round... but either firing the pistol or releasing the slide lock and the round will chamber fine.
If I recall correctly, the .40 was out before the 357 version and initially .40 cal mags were tried and the modification of the 375 mags were needed for the 357 round to function.

c1steveThe ammo I am using works perfectly in my 226, so I am thinking that the locking insert may not be machined correctly. The top surface might sit too high, or perhaps need a slight round over to that one edge.
Is rounding over the corner of the locking block asking for trouble?
