Title says it all... got a few questions.

1) Threaded vs Non-Threaded Barrel.
Is there a difference?

2) P365 slides - Old vs New Extractor.
Looking at getting a new slide and I see the "Only works with old extractor".
How doth one tell old/new extractor?

3) Compensator
Is it worth it?

I am not sure of your specific question regarding threaded versus non-threaded barrels but one would want to threaded barrel if one was going to use a suppressor on the handgun. Many of the 22 caliber pistols that I bought come with a threaded barrel since suppressing 22 caliber pistols appears popular.

I do not know anything about the p365 handgun.

Some people who I have spoken to do not believe compensators work well unless they are for larger caliber handgun, however I know someone who takes part guns and completely changes them with upgrades, and he let me shoot a custom glock with a compensator. The Glock was only a 9 mm but I thought the compensator worked very well on it. One thing to consider with compensators is what is the source of recoil. I had a CZ scorpion large-format pistol and I tried several compensators on it but it had no effect on the recoil. This gun has such a large and heavy bolt that the recoil one experiences is from the bolt slamming into the back of the gun and a compensator would not affect that issue.

There are many more people who have much more knowledge on these topics than I, and maybe some of the others can provide light on the subject for you.

3-In my opinion generally no. Maybe for specific applications or games but generally on a “normal” pistol I see more downside then benefit. IMO.

That makes complete sense. I've never thought of adding a suppressor to a gun.

Ive just been seeing a lot of threaded and non-threaded barrels. Would hate to buy a new barrel and not know the difference.
