Here's an example of P230 with a serial number very close to yours. Proofed JD for 1983. A previous owner modified the floorplate on one of the mags. The pics show the appropriate box and literature.

Hey GeoJelly, how is the DA pull on this one?

I have a P230 that had a less-than-great DA trigger, as in awful, but after a trip to Robert Burke it was better. Rumor is the DA pull on the P230 ain't grand, but personally I have a sample size of 1 to work with.
