Just picked up a P220ST. While I don't have it in my possession yet, the former owner tells me the SER# is E1296XX. Called Sig, no help other than prior to 2007.. Any experience or thoughts?

G, not E. Have the owner send you a close-up pic of the serial number.

Most of them will start with a 'G'.

I only know of two P220s (and have handled one) that begins with an 'H'.

Have seen one that has a D as a suffix, but only in pictures.

An 'E' for a prefix would be kinda cool. Please send a pic when you have time.
