WHAT? an all metal P320 carry?
I mean really.. doesn't everybody know that all semi-auto pistols need to be plastic framed now?

Just got an email from Sig announcing their P320 AXG Aluminum carry grip module. What the heck.....

(I'm actually a metal pistol fan)

I am surprised there aren't more SF striker fired units out there.
Perhaps it is just a new phenomena.
Smith Wesson recent introductions of the MP 2.0.
Walther Q series in SF, I have not shot but only handled ~ felt amazing.
Plans on purchased both the SF and one of the Wathers and I don't even like striker fired pistols all that much. Eek
It could be the tip of the ice berg on new products.

Where have you been? Sig has been making the AXG aluminum grip modules for years now.

Sig not only makes several models of pistols with the AXG grip, but has been offering it sold alone as an upgrade to their pistols.

Fullsize AXG grip modules have been available for years but I believe this is the first time the Carry sized module is available as an individual component. Previously you could buy the complete carry sized AXG gun but not the individual grip module in carry size. At least that's the way I read Sig's email.

Yeah, but what is the big deal? Their AXG guns have been out several years, now. OP sounds like this is the first time he's aware of an all metal P320.

It's 21st century SIG. Every model must have a "commander" version. Pretty sure this is the typical end result when a gun company hires a CEO from a 1911 maker.

I bought one of the “brown” modules when they went on sale. Didn’t match any other Sig brown so I went brown and black. The metal modules are great.

P320-AXG Grip Modules have been available for quite some time and always as the 'Carry' size, so that's NOT what's new. What is actually new, the 'new/now available for the first time ever' feature is that the Grip Panels are Polymer where previously they were only offered in G10.

So, not really that exciting actually... Wink

Indeed the only difference in today's announcement are polymer grip panels. Oddly, you can buy a module with no grip panels for the same price as one with polymer panels.

My AXG frame has brass grips panels (cerakoted black). As close to a 320-ST as I can get. I prefer the AXG ergos to the TXG.

Sorry guys, I'm behind the times... I'm a sig fan but I can't for the life of me keep up with the different variations of any of these new fangled pistols... X ... XD XXX or what ever the latest is.... I like some others here am not a fan of striker fired.... but I do own a P320 Compact and it is one more fine shooter... at least with the Romeo Site on it. It also has a Lima frame with laser and so I think I'll keep that.
