Hello, I got a P220 that I am trying to assemble. When I get to installing the Hammer strut, Main spring, and lock it into place, the hammer locks into down position, and will not fall even if I pull the trigger. When I uninstall the hammer strut and the main spring, I can pull the trigger and manually move the hammer back forward and such. I've watched tons of YouTube videos and I know I am installing the hammer strut correctly, any assistance?

Thank you

Check to see if the pin in the hammer is seated in the proper notch, sometimes it doesn't want to align with the strut.

You may have to hold it towards the rear when inserting the strut and seating the assembly into the frame.

Actually, you’re not. The strut needs to be as far rearward as possible when engaging it with the hammer pin. A pretty common mistake. At least that’s my guess based on your description. Good luck!
