Carried a P320 MAX occasionally. No irons. No worries.

About the only use of irons for me on RDS pistols is the initial dot movement to "sight in."

BUIS make sense in a military world. In my world, I prefer RDS or irons, not both.

If I'm carrying a gun for personal protection in public where I've got to be accountable for every shot, I am going to have a usable set of backup iron sights.

Here's my only actually sightless handgun. It works just fine for point-shooting at a life-size silhouette target at five yards. (Again, not my pic.)

Suppose I don’t see the logic. Back up irons cost nearly nothing from a performance standpoint point. They are just a redundant system. I’ve never heard a guy come in second or third at Nationals and say “I could have won it if it weren’t for those meddling sights”

You’ll probably will be ok without them as reliable as modern day MRDS are.
