I did not realize this until the Coast Guard boat pulled up to us and ordered us out of the channel. That poor guy on the bow had the mounted rifle pointed right at us from a few yards away. I finally realized why we had no power and got the rope untangled from the prop. I remember thinking “that gun looks like it would be really fun to shoot.” I’m not very knowledgeable on rifles but I’m guessing it was a 25mm.
Depends on the size of the Cutter, the patrol boat I was on had a 25mm gun. The ship was 110’ long, the 85footers have 50 cal M2HB guns mounted, and the smaller than 65’ small boats have the M240B.

dry-flyWell, I sold a mint M2, 50 cal not too long ago. Sorry I didn’t list it here, it would’ve made a couple of y’all’s day!

It went for a reasonable $35k to the dude that has the Demolition Ranch YouTube channel.

Dang, about a decade ago my buddy sold one and a tripod and a case of ammo and a linking machine , and a spare barrel for 50k, had it delivered across the US from NC to the Northwest.

I had one in 9mm, it was very nice and of course fully accurate. Sold it as my P320 was just as accurate, 1" at 50 yards, and simpler/easier to clean.

DoctorSoloMK23, yeeeaaahh! Forgot about that one. There's one on the wall at my local club and I try to rationalize doing stupid financial things every time I stare at it.
They are indestructible so I can't say "if it breaks, you can always hit him with it."
But you know what I mean...
