Bucket List Guns
A Winchester Model 21 in 16ga or 20ga.
A Browning Superposed.

There are a few others that I like but those are the main two.

I have a P7 which, like most pistols, would be more comfortable for me if it had a larger grip. I have moderately large hands and long fingers.

You should consider getting a set of Nill grips for your P7. They have a slightly round profile compared to the flat stock grips. They really give a nice full feeling to the gripping of the gun.

Name checks out.

A 1941 Johnson rifle.

I've always wanted one but can't bring myself to spend what a good specimen is going for.

A Thompson and an MP5 would round out the list.

Yeah that one would be nice too. I remember coming across one back in the day when I was young and poor.

Over the years I have gone through a lot of phases of what I felt was bucket list worthy, but always come back to the classics:
A first generation colt single action 4&3/4 barrel ( I have owned all generations at some point, but never a 4&3/4)
An original Winchester 1873 in 44 or 38/40
I do like the idea above of a full auto MP5 though

Nighthawk TRS Commander 9mm with vertical serrations rather than the "dots." DLC finish. I'm probably going to try to make this happen when I retire in 2 years.

Beretta 92 Elite LTT directly from LTT.

Beretta 1301 Mod 2 shotgun. I may try to make this happen, too.

S&W Model 686 pre-lock 2.5 inch barrel tuned up by S&W Performance Center.

- Korth PRS 6". This one's been at the top of my list like forever.
- Glock G46
- Any Glock with Slovakian proof marks
- Spohr L562 6" w/ 9mm conversion cylinder. Preferably in black. Working on it now; maybe it will happen soon, or maybe not. Just calculating how much blood I can afford to lose to get it. Frown
- Beretta 89 .22LR

EDIT: oh I forgot...and a S&W 952-2. So sad that I passed on a pretty nice one years ago, and now their asking prices are in the upper atmosphere.

A few years ago I was in my boat and one of the nuclear subs was coming in to the base. My 3 year old son had thrown the line out and it wrapped around the prop. I did not realize this until the Coast Guard boat pulled up to us and ordered us out of the channel. That poor guy on the bow had the mounted rifle pointed right at us from a few yards away. I finally realized why we had no power and got the rope untangled from the prop. I remember thinking “that gun looks like it would be really fun to shoot.” I’m not very knowledgeable on rifles but I’m guessing it was a 25mm.

A legit WWII era Thompson M1A1. I bid on one two summers ago and bowed out at 19k. It went for 22.5. Yeah I know that’s ridiculous but I’m getting any younger.

When I was at Ft Hood in the 90s I had a retired SFC pal who had one and I got to shoot his.

LMBO, at the first read-through of your post. I thought your son had snagged onto the submarine!
I imagine the Coasties probably had a good-old M2 .50 cal pointed your way. However, I could be wrong.

I'd be down for one of the new 3" stainless steel Spohrs in .357. A 'regular' MP5, sure.
