Factor8Help with a Beretta 92 Custom Carry
I picked up a Beretta 92 Custom Carry through a trade the other day and I am curious about it. It appears to be in pretty good condition with very minor wear from a holster. I could not find much info on the web about it besides it was a special run from 1990-2000 with roughly a thousand of them made. If anyone could provide information about this model I would greatly appreciate it
It feels great and has a amazing trigger on it. I have always loved 92's and I cannot wait to get this to the range. Here are a few pictures of it. I also grabbed some other compacts out of the safe for those who have not seen a 92 compact, to get an idea on the size.

Dusty78These were the first of the Beretta Custom Carry line. There wasn’t anything Custom about it aside from the billboard on the slide. It’s a straight dustcover pre polymer parts 92FS compact L. They were introduced 1999-2000 if I recall corectly. Their next Custom Carry was a true custom gun, The Custom Carry II was an Inox 92F Type M (single stack.) Both are sought after with the CC2 being more rare.
Here is a CC2 I used to own.
Your Custom Carry is a great gun from a great period in Beretta Guns. Enjoy.

FredwardBut it is a very nice compact version. I have one. It is commonly ridiculed due to the "billboard," but I find it as accurate, if not more so, as it's Wilson counterpart.

xanthThey are nice shooters, but not much different from a standard Beretta Compact.
They came from the factory with a single sided safety, kinda hard to tell from your picture, but looks like that might have been replaced with a standard safety lever. 10 round mags due to the time period.
Not sure the Custom Carry II was any more custom than the standard Custom Carry. Aside from it coming with a novak rear sight. They both came with single side safety levers. Any more details on it being "custom"?
As a Beretta compact collector, congrats, it's a nice find.

I would call it more of a custom just because it was a type M in Inox which are rare. The standard production type M Inox guns were a mishmosh of parts with black controls except for Stainless safeties and sometimes mismatched Sights (red front with white rear.)
