Since there seems to be a lot of S&W fans here I'll post my other recent purchase a 1954 K38 with 6" barrel. She has a few spots of freckling but not bad for a 70 year old revolver. It has the target trigger and hammer option on it. It came with period correct magna stocks but they were not numbered to the gun. Bonus it has the box and tools. I put some target stocks on it but of course they are not correct. These guns would become the Model 14 a few years later (1957).

Very nice, you've had a good month! Love the attention to detail with the serrations along the top of the barrel. That target trigger and hammer are MUCH more appropriate on that 6" gun than they were on my 2 1/2" Model 19 snubby, too, lol.

A snubbie with target hammer and trigger?? That is very odd! Wonder why? Might be worth a letter on that one. Big Grin

I kept them, but they've been removed. I want to actually use the thing!

I found some age approriate stocks for the K38, these were used up until mid fifties, notice no relief cut. That feature was introduced around mid to late fifties in the K frames.

Those non relieved diamond targets look fantastic on your K38. Excellent addition to an already excellent gun!
