Very nice!

"If there's one thing this last week has taught me, it's better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it." Clarence Worley

Nice! I know most HPs here were imported by, marked, and sold by Browning. Were FN HP's also imported directly back in the 1960s? Or did ones such as this come to the US privately?

I think Browning had the commercial market beginning about 1954. This FN was imported as a group of 31 or so to be used as possible sales sample . The sale was not completed and these were sold on the US matket. I dont have access to my FN book at this time . I believed that some were also imported by HOWCO .

I do want a High Power at some point. I fear I’ve waited too long for my frugal approach to buying.

What a helluva piece!

Nice High power! Is it a new acquisition, or just taking it out of the safe? Either way, looks sweet!

It is a new acquisition. Been looking for an FN military type for a while.

That is really cool with the stock/holster on it. A timeless firearm.

Is that wood stock a reproduction piece? I figured the leather was new but am curious about the wood/bracket themselves.

I believe the stock and holster original FN production and fall in the prewar/post war transition an shown in the FN Book. I have sent photos to the author. But have not heard back.
