Range time with the 230
Any 230 fans out there. Just back from the range and love shooting this gun. Maybe because the stainless looks so nice lol but it shoots great and very accurate. I know it's a dinosaur as far as what's available now but works for me anyone else carry this ??.
Happy Holidays everyone

A 230 was my back up gun for many years. Reliable and accurate. Like an idiot, I sold it! Frown

I am the third member of my PD that had my P230. The first 2 carried it as a backup but I never did. I still have it and it's one of my daughters' favorites. It is a fun little shooter, not too small to have nasty recoil but not too large in hand.

I have several 230's and 232's, I carry one some days and love to shoot them. For me it's a natural pointing small pistol that picks up a target right quick.

I think the original p230 is the sexiest small pistol, and the 92 the sexiest large pistol, in modern pistol history. There's plenty of competition no doubt, but those two pieces have a hypnotic affect on me.

I must agree about the 2 pistols being the sexiest. I sold my 92 and currently on the hunt for another.

The pawn shop I pass by on the way home from work has a P230. I haven't asked to look at it closely yet, but it's darned pretty behind the glass.

God bless America.

It is indeed a pretty gun, and well made. My boss has one with a cool story behind it, and I've shot it a few times and enjoyed it. I don't really have a practical use for a large blowback .380 (even the Beretta 81 with a .380 barrel that I already own), so I've passed on a couple of opportunities to acquire one, but they're definitely nice guns.

I got a PD trade in years ago. It’s the only pistol I’ve bought solely on looks. With the fixed barrel, they’re definitely accurate. But for carry, they're heavy, low capacity, weaker caliber, stronger felt recoil (being direct blowback), and not that small. You’re better served by a P365. Still, they’re great range toys.

After cleaning it up a bit:
