Of Pinky Extensions And P365/XLs
Just tried out the pinky extensions from Armory Craft for the (in my case) 12-round P365XL mags. I've had problems with the grip frame of SIGs being a little short before; I get along OK with the basic P6/P225 (the 225A1 is a definite improvement for me) but I just can't seem to get comfortable with the P228/229 or the P239.

I can make the P365XL work OK for me but I wasn't entirely thrilled. The AC versions seem to be a clean fit in the sense that I'm not conscious of feeling a gap or anything sticking out when I shoot with the extensions in place. I admit to only shooting with them once and not having carried with them yet but so far, very good.

I'm tempted to try them on the P365 SAS in the house but (1) I don't seem to expect as much in the way of comfort from something I don't expect to use at any great distance and (2) the factory pinky extension seems to suit me well enough.

Has anyone tried the Pearce pinky extensions yet? Or any others?

I use the LN brand extensions on several of my mags. They work well for me, and give me that little extra bit that stabilizes my grip. My issue with them is loading the mags with them installed. I use an Uplula, and put the base plate flat on a table and bench to load. The problem is, with the curved extensions, the mag doesn't set flat. I have partially over come this by placing a thick magazine or thin book under the back side of the mag, making it relatively "flat" to load. A lesser issue is, in summer when wearing a light shirt like a Hawaiian print, the shirt sometimes catches on the pinky curve. This isn't a problem with IWB carry, and I often carry and XL size 365 when wearing these shirts.
