Just thought I would pass this along. Not sure if I'm going to pick one up or not, but it is a deal. MSRP is $589, price deliver to my dealer is $339.77. For a new gun with a, "PC Tuned Action" it's a deal.

In what could be one of the lamer excuses of getting a new gun, I find myself in need of a new truck gun. Finally have a console vault in the Jeep after being on backorder for over a year, so I feel more comfortable in leaving a gun in my vehicle. My Smith & Wesson M&P Pro Series in .40S&W has served that capacity for years. Problem is now in the Jeep the opening is so small that pulling out a full sized duty gun is a challenge. It's like a game of firearms Tetris. It has to be rotated on angles exactly so requiring several attempts to get it out of the console, it does not make for anything resembling a quick and easy draw.

So now the search begins, something Glock 19 sized in a caliber greater than 9mm that I don't care if it gets beat up...

Personally, that's a great deal on the Shield. I have a 3.1" ported PC Shield .40 and couldn't be happier. I had a 4" Shield .45, great gun but I liked my 3.6" Shield .45 better. A 4" in .40 would be way cool. I think you could do far worse, good luck.

The best defense is a good offense, and I'm really offensive. Wink

I have one of these and it gets carried a lot. Whether in 40 or with my utterly reliable Remsport 357 Sig conversion barrel, I love it. It’s a little muzzle heavy, but not bad. I’ll take the added velocity/better odds of expansion with the 4” barrel. I do not feel undergunned with eight rounds of 357 Sig on board. Because Shields are so skinny, I did install a Hogue sleeve, and that really helped fill my hand. The trigger was way better than what I was anticipating as well.

Just checked the site, my price is $337 and change. There are 4 dealers, each just a bit higher up to $356. Never saw this before, but I don't need this particular gun.

If I did, I'd have already bought it. Not sure how the site works, but apparently pay about a third down and the rest when I pick it up. Hope this is a real site, not a scam.

$329 for me. I have no need for this but if I did I'd buy without hesitation. I have a couple Shield 9mms and they're excellent pistols.

If somebody makes a 357 sig barrel, it could be a lot more fun...

Threaded swith a small comp or ported might take some of the snap out of the recoil. That could be a fun little setup.
