I was really looking forward to hk’s micro 9’s especially this one and they are both a disappointment. The cc9 feels terrible to me in my hand, feels cheap, looks like a Taurus and that mag button was a let down. Then this. It’s bigger and cost 1k? Hell no, I love HK but they can keep em both. Maybe somebody will come out with a paddle mag release frame for a p365 and I can just pretend it’s an HK

Well the VP9cc has to be miles better than the US applied DLC coating. Mine is showing noticeable bare metal after only two range trips.

That's odd mine shows almost no wear after around 1200-1400 rounds and a fair bit of carry. (CC9). Where is your....well wear? Just curious. I have a big old ugly patch on the inside of the slide where the chamber locks up but it was like that from the factory, almost like they were hand fitting or something but its never gotten worse.

As to the VP9cc. I know the story of the why but I wonder how much impact it will make. I am one of the "paddle faithful" so I MIGHT at some point pick one up but I am in no rush and frankly I am weird gun guy not a normie so to speak. I have have a hard time seeing these will sell that well beyond a small subset of HK fanboys. But hell what do I know. The HK faithful are a strange lot.

Kidding aside, I would also be leaning towards this one because of the paddle release; I have no issues with button releases, but I generally dislike ambidextrous button releases. I’m also curious about how it handles; my current thinking is that the CC9 actually has the better grip shape of the two, and I’d like to see if I’m right or wrong about that.

In any case, I don’t know that I would have given it much thought if the VP9CC never showed up on our shores. Despite all the gripes about its looks, there was nothing I really found unappealing about the CC9, other than the magazine release (which actually isn’t bad at all) and the fact that I don’t really like micro-9s in general.

I don’t mind the button mag release, but don’t like the flat and stiff slide release on my CC9

Been waiting for this for two years. The wait is almost over. I hope it feels as good in the hand as the all the others in the VP series.

Just keep in mind it is a VP9 in name and look only. Virtually nothing is compatible between a VP9cc and a VP9 A1 or A1k.

I might get one, especially since they have an RMRcc plate and I have one laying around I'm not using. And I like the paddles.

But I like the Holosun SCS's on my VP9K A1 and VP9F A1 and would hope Holosun makes one for the VP9cc.

It is odd that they have two micro pistols that probably can't even share magazines. Perhaps it was uncertain if the VP9cc could be imported, due to the size rules, but it's possible they are importing it with a longer grip shell (like the PPK-S vs. PPK) and then swap it out here for a shorter one.

I saw a review on Youtube comparing the two and the mags are NOT compatible with each other. One is quite a bit wider than the other, I don't recall which one is wider for sure.

I wonder why they even called it VP9 instead of something else. It doesn’t use the same mags, and has a chassis type serialized FCU like a P365 instead of a conventional serialized frame like all of the other VP9s models.

This is how I want mine. I really wish they would offer the no pic rail CC9 frame as well.

$1000 might be full msrp, but street price has gotta be quite a bit lower. I’m sure the versions that come with the Vortex optic will be over $1k. Dealer cost on the optic ready model is well under $800. (Hope I’m not breaking some rule by posting that). I’ve got my eyes open for it to come in stock. I think I’ll put that new enclosed optic that eotech is releasing on it.

It's been early released by some retailers. Street price has been $850-$900 for the non optic.

Can't find any VP9cc anywhere. If you guys spot them in stock, please post. I got a CC9 and like it a lot, the vp9cc could be even better.

The sights are what put it over the CC9 for me. I do love the paddle mag release, but I don’t have a problem using a button, so that’s not a huge factor. Price is a bit of a hang up, $200 more than the CC9 gives me pause. They’re similar enough, I might change my mind by the time I find them in stock. Im looking at the new Steiner MPS-C for optics.

I wanted to like the CC9, but it felt like a soap bar my hand. This is worse.

Carried a P2000 or P2000SK in some variant or caliber for over a decade. Love the paddle mag release, but am fine with the button release as well. Never had issues with either. I wanted to like the CC9 but am too invested in the P365 for it to make any sense. To add to it, I prefer the Wilson Combat XL grip modules on my regular and XL 365s that I carry over the feel of the CC9. The CC9 felt smooth and slick in my hands and offered me nothing I don’t already feel I have. This new offering is likely to fall in the same category.

My new CC9 is back at HK for warranty repair. They said it's getting a new trigger bar. Didn't get much time with it. I would like a slide catch/release that sticks out a tad more. I don't think anyone makes one just yet.

I really want a second EDC/CCW piece, but may just cobble another P365 together out of parts I have laying around until I have total confidence in the CC9. Cannot bring myself to pay what a VP9CC costs unless I try one out first and it floors me, which I doubt it will.
