I have the Trij HD XR sight and it needs to be replaced - the tritium is too dim now. I can buy a new sight (I have a Deltpoint Micro installed so just need front sight). Or it seems that Trij will replace the vial for a fee ($50?).

I will probably go with one of these two options.

But I noticed they have a new sight - tritium + FO. I think that would be nice as a backup if the RDS is not working. However, I'm thinking the FO may be too distracting if the RDS is working. Currently, the top of the front is co-witnessed w/ the dot (if I'm looking dead center).

Thoughts? Should I replace the HD XR w/ the DI version? Or just stick w/ the HD XR? One other thing I like about the HD XR is the thin blade.
