Would this be one of those pistols with expensive magazines, limited grip options, hard to find holsters and pouches, and the need for belt and suspenders due to its weight?

$1295 is not just high...that's insane. ACME Sports in Seymour Indiana had ISP trade-in P227s just a couple of months ago for less than half that. I contemplated buying one but ended up not for the reasons that 4MUL8R pointed out. If you really want one I'd watch their website, as ISP is retiring the P227 soon so I imagine they'll get more.

$1295 for a P227? Oh, they'll hype it up with "No longer made" and "It's ultra rare because it's got that PSP logo on it". I hope no suckers will fall for that shit. Not even one with either Robert Burke's or Bruce Gray's action work is worth that much.

GB has a PA Police with no bids at the moment with opening bid of $800 and b/n of $1400.

It looks like $700-$800 is the market price at the moment; a lot of $900-$1000+ prices not selling.

Like new? Must have been an Officers pistol.

Concur with above, the price will come down.

Like anything else you want or buy, its worth what your willing to pay for it! I have over paid for my share of guns, and have no regrets about doing so. When we are dead and gone and our family sells off our collection, we won't give a shit! Smile

No such thing as “over paid” for anything, if that’s what you were willing to fork out the money for without regrets. Wink

92fstech, not to derail. But, do you know what ISP is looking to go to after the P227?

P320 w/red dot is the rumor I've heard. Not sure how far out that is, though.
